Strapped this on for a three-day trek and the weight distribution made the load feel half of what it was, even on the switchbacks. The hip belt padding is firmer than my old pack but genuinely locks in place. It's the first time my shoulders weren't screaming by day two.

Trail name: Asher, carry name: legend. The load transfer through that hip belt is almost telepathic on the switchbacks; I barely felt the extra pounds even after a full day on the granite. This pack's heritage shows in every seam, and it's earned a permanent spot on my rack.

Took it up a steep ridgeline and the hip belt carried the load so well I forgot I had it on. The fabric already has a few scrapes from granite, but it’s held up without a tear, which is all I really ask for.
